Product Description

  • Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) peel is one of the oldest forms of skin resurfacing. It reduces acne breakouts, improving skin texture and discoloration caused by sun damage. TCA helps remove areas of hyperpigmentation, while deeply cleaning clogged pores. It has also been used to help lighten and remove medium to deep scars while helping pores appear smaller. High concentration (typically higher than 30%) can also be used for tattoo removal.
  • Enhanced with Salicylic Acid at 5% and USDA Certified Organic Extracts.

Jessner’s Peel

Jessner’s solution is a light-medium depth peel that produces extraordinary results upon use in a controlled manner.  This REVITALIZING PEEL contains Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, and Resorcinol.

Salicylic Acid

    • Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid derived from the bark of the willow tree.  Beta hydroxy acids have a larger molecule than their cousin, alpha hydroxy acids.  The larger molecule size keeps the beta hydroxy acid on the surface of the skin allowing it to more effectively penetrate and exfoliate within the pore. This action within the pores make it an ideal exfoliant for use on acne and acne-prone skin.
    • The larger molecule size of Salicylic Acid produces less irritation than alpha hydroxy acids, making it a welcome alternative for those with sensitive skin.

Lactic Acid

    • Lactic Acid is a naturally occurring human metabolite, there is much less chance of allergic reaction using this type of acid peel. If you are looking for a peel with a good acidic value and with virtually no irritation, then this product is for you.
    • Lactic Acid is another Alpha Hydroxy Acid, like Glycolic Acid, but the 50% strength is a little stronger than the Glycolic Acid Peels but less irritating to the skin than Glycolic Acid.
    • Lactic Acid occurs naturally in the skin and is a primary component of the skins natural moisturizing factor.
    • The use of Lactic Acid will help to stimulate and speed skin cell turnover on the surface of the skin, thereby producing more vibrant and smoother-looking skin.
    • In the deeper layers of skin, new collagen and elastin will be stimulated and the skin will actually become thicker, tighter and more firm.

Resorcinol

    • Resorcinol Acne Treatments Can Work.
    • Resorcinol and sulfur combination is used to treat acne and similar skin conditions.  Resorcinol is used because it has better chemical properties than other similar ingredients. It can be blended into a better product which probably accounts for its popularity among chemists. This is one of the substances that shows up over and over in the ingredient lists of many non-prescription treatments.
    • Resorcinol acne treatment is among the most frequently used.

Directions

VERY IMPORTANT – First, read through the entire Summary of Peel Procedure and WARNING before performing this peel. Additionally, test a small area you intend to treat. (Patch Test) Follow through with the entire peel process. This will give you an idea of how your skin will react to this chemical peel.

  1. Recommended for all users

  2. Clean skin of dirt, oil, and makeup. Use Cleanser Prep Pads to clean skin of all impurities prior to peel. It is important to remove all oil from your skin for the peel to work effectively

  3. Thoroughly rinse the area you intend to treat with cool water for about 45 to 60 seconds and pat dry. Make sure you have cotton pads, Q-tips, and protective latex gloves within reach.

  4. Put on the Latex gloves. Recommended for every application.

  5. Shake well before use. Break the plastic seal and open carefully.

  6. Pour or use the transfer-dropper to transfer the serum onto the cotton-pad(s), cotton-balls or Q-tips and gently apply Ideal Skin Care Solution Peel. Apply the chemical peel evenly to the desired locations by using a mild rubbing action. Avoid eye areas, lip, and insides of nostrils. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. For first-time users, do not leave on longer than 15 to 60 seconds. You can gradually increase the length of time up to 3.

  7. Apply the chemical peel evenly to the desired locations by using a mild rubbing action. Avoid eye areas, lip, and insides of nostrils.  If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.  For first-time users, do not leave on longer than 15 to 60 seconds. You can gradually increase the length of time up to 3 minutes.  The initial application is when most users feel the highest level of pain/irritation.  This typically subsides after the initial application.

  8. If required, after 45 to 60 seconds, touch up on any problem areas. Avoid eye areas, lip, and insides of nostrils. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.  If you see any part of your skin beginning to turn very red while using the serum, immediately rinse solution off the skin. You may experience slight stinging or tingling while the serum is on the skin. (NOTE: Not everyone will feel the burning. Be confident the serum is working) Skin may turn pink, but will return to its normal color within a few days. Results vary. When used correctly, there should not be any redness, burning, or blistering. If you experience these symptoms seek medical treatment and discontinue use. This will happen when the product is not used correctly or your skin is too sensitive to handle the chemical peel – consider reducing the concentration. It is normal for the skin to “peel” and appear flaky a few days after use. That means the product is working. This is the dead skin shedding, allowing a healthy layer to come to the surface.

  9. During this time your skin may frost and turn white, depending on the concentration and number of layers. This is normal. Please keep in mind that results vary. This indicates that you have peeled enough and it should be neutralized by rinsing with water. The “frosting” will fade shortly after the peel is neutralized. If you wish to use a neutralizer for the acid, you can simply mix 1 cup water with 1 tablespoon baking soda, and apply to the face with a cotton pad. However, this step is not necessary.

  10. Rinse thoroughly with cool water for about 60 seconds and pat dry.

  11. Reseal with cap. Do NOT store with measurement marked dropper as the solution will remove the markings.

  12. Your skin will immediately begin to feel tight and smooth after rinsing with cool water.

  13. Apply Moisturizing Lotion with Vitamins and Minerals DAILY to speed up the healing process.

  14. If you decide to go out in the sun, it is advised that you evenly distribute a small amount of sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater) to the areas that have been treated.

After Application

For 7-14 days after the peel, cleanse skin with a mild cleanser. Avoid all abrasive cleanser until skin is fully peeled. For the next several days your skin may start to dry, wrinkle, and darken depending on the strength of the chemical peel. Your skin may also appear red, similar to a bad sunburn. The old skin of the treated area will start to peel or flake, uncovering the new smooth skin beneath. You will begin to notice a big difference in the way you look and feel.

It is important to apply moisturizing lotion with Vitamins and minerals DAILY to speed up the healing process. Do not rub or irritate the skin in anyway, but allow it peel naturally since your skin is very sensitive and may potentially scar if not treated correctly. The new skin may be a little pink, but that will fade and you will be left with a beautiful, even toned, glowing complexion. You should apply a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher if you decide to expose your skin to the sun. After the skin is almost done with the healing process, continue to use a mild cleanser along with the lotion until the skin is completely done peeling. Then you may drop out the lotion. You may apply another peel if desired after 4-6 weeks or until the skin has fully healed and is in normal condition again.

If the pain and swelling becomes an issue, the use of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) may be taken to reduce the pain. Ibuprofen or Tylenol is a favorite. If the redness or pain continues for prolonged periods of time, you should consult a physician as soon as possible.

CAUTION: Do not leave this serum on your skin too long, as you could sustain chemical burns.

Testimonial

I'm on my second go round with this peel and it frosted almost immediately (which is awesome) The first use took away all the sun damage and this time around I concentrated on crows feet. I'm still in the healing process, but even after the first peel, I saw a huge difference in fine lines. This is powerful stuff, so be careful and follow directions to a T!!! I love it :-)
